• 2022

• Moving from the Emergency Medical Centre Campus to the Yungu Campus

  

  After a transient life at the Emergency Medical Centre campus, Pei lab moved to the newest campus of Westlake University, the Yungu campus. Both the laboratory and the office are more spacious to accommodate more new members. To celebrate the move, all the members of Pei lab have dinner together at the Yungu campus.

• The EmTech China Global Emerging Technologies Summit

  

  TThe EmTech China Global Emerging Technologies Summit, sponsored by MIT Technology Review, was held at the Taihu Hotel in Wuxi. The summit release the 50 Smart Companies and provides people with a new perspective and detailed interpretation of the development trend of the most advanced technology. Professor Pei was invited to introduce the innovative cellular barcoding technology at the summit.

• Post doctorate Weipeng Ge of Pei lab was funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

  

  Weipeng Ge was supported by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation for his postdoctoral research. The competent post-doctorates from all over China who demonstrate a strong commitment to academic research with big potential are selected to be funded. He is one of two postdocs at Westlake University involved in the program in 2022.

• The first move of Pei Lab from YunQi campus to Emergency Medical Center

  

  Our laboratory has moved from YunQi campus to Emergency Medical Center.

• Dragon boat festival is coming!

  

  To celebrate the coming of the Dragon boat festival and welcome the new member of Pei Lab, lab members dine together for barbecue. Pei lab go from strength to strength and is looking forward to new members.

• Professor Pei attended the “Science On Fire” event sponsored by Westlake University

  

  Professor Pei was invited to present at the “Science on Fire” event as a moderator and gave an engaging and professional presentation related to immunization and vaccines at the beginning of the event. Professor Pei also raised some questions to Professor Sun about new vaccine-related technologies and triggered a lively discussion at the event. The event was a great success and provided a chance for participants to have a deeper thought.

• First dinner together at Haidilao

  

  To celebrate the return of Professor Pei and the first meeting with the original staff of Pei Lab, we chose Haidilao hot pot as our first dinner together. We enjoyed a joyful atmosphere and had a great conversation during the supper, even meeting for the first time. Everyone has full confidence in the future of Pei lab, and collaboration in research along with progress.

• Pei Lab was set up

  

  Professor Pei returned to Hangzhou from Harvard Medical School and Pei Lab was set up at Westlake University.

• Professor Pei was awarded by the MIT Technology Review Innovators under 35 (TR35)

  

  This award aims to select the top-notch young innovators from various fields annually around the globe. The selected innovators are considered to have the capacity, creativity, and aggressiveness to change the future of science as leaders. Professor Pei was awarded by TR35 in 2021 for his Polylox barcoding lineage tracing technology, which provides a brand-new dimension to understanding the fate of cells and the development of diseases in vivo.
